In a pond with fish, or snails, there is very little accumulation of bacteria because these animals eat it. Thus, waste is channeled into the animal side of the food chain. Bacta-PurŽ offers one of the most concentrated bacterial cultures available. It has a 2 year shelf life unopened, and 2 months once opened. The use of Bacta-PurŽ assures the presence of the appropriate strains of beneficial micro-organisms for fast and efficient nitrification (oxidation of ammonia and nitrite) and reduction of biological oxygen demand (BOD), phosphorus and organic sludge. It can improve fish flavor, reduce fish stress and disease susceptibility and increase feed conversion efficiency.
Bacta-PurŽ Klear is scientifically cultured to produce a powerful team of beneficial bacteria that improve water quality, Bacta-PurŽ Klear attacks both the solid and soluble organic pollution in lined ponds. These micro-organisms use these wastes as food for their growth.
Bacta-PurŽ Pond contains 12 strains of bacteria to maintain water clarity, solubilize organic deposits and break down sludge and waste products into natural fish food. Formulated for earth ponds or large lined ponds.
Bacta-PurŽ N3000 includes 12 strains of bacteria for ammonia and nitrite removal (nitrification) as well as for nitrate reduction (denitrification). This mixture accelerates start up of biofilters for both fresh and salt water (up to 35 ppt). New benefit is reduced nitrite accumulation.
Bacta-PurŽ XLG includes 16 strains of bacteria for decomposing organic sediments (sludge) in ponds, lakes and under cages. Includes activator packets #1 and #2. Freshwater and saltwater applications. These formula targets the removal of phosphates in the water column and bottom layer.
Bacta-PurŽ Sludgebusters is effective in biodegrading sludge wastes that accumulate on the bottom of ponds. The sludge layer resulting from uneaten feed and waste products can cause clogging of pumps and filters. Decomposing waste may also produce toxic gases, noxious odors and other problems.
